TFT/ EFT Tapping

TFT (Thought Field Therapy) and EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques) are both energy psychology techniques that involve tapping on specific points on the body to help alleviate emotional distress and promote emotional well-being.

The concept is that negative emotions are caused by disruptions in the body's energy system. By tapping on specific acupressure points on the body, TFT aims to balance the body's energy and reduce emotional distress.

EFT, also known as "tapping," is a simplified version of TFT. It involves tapping on specific points on the face and body while focusing on a specific issue or problem. EFT combines elements of traditional Chinese medicine and psychology to help release negative emotions and promote emotional healing.

Both TFT and EFT tapping techniques are used to address a wide range of emotional issues, including anxiety, stress, phobias, trauma, and negative beliefs. They are often used as self-help techniques but can also be used in conjunction with treatments or coaching at the wellness clinic

TFT and EFT techniques can offer several benefits,

 Stress and Anxiety Reduction

TFT and EFT tapping can help reduce stress and anxiety by promoting a sense of relaxation and calming the nervous system. Tapping on specific points on the body while focusing on the issue at hand can help release tension and promote a sense of calm.

 Emotional Release

These techniques can help release and process negative emotions such as anger, sadness, fear, and guilt. By tapping on specific points, it is believed that the energy disruptions associated with these emotions can be cleared, leading to emotional release and a greater sense of emotional well-being.

 Trauma Healing

TFT and EFT tapping can be effective in addressing the emotional impact of traumatic experiences. By tapping on specific points and focusing on the traumatic event, these techniques can help release and process the emotional distress associated with the trauma, leading to healing and emotional resolution.

 Phobia and Fear Reduction

Tapping techniques can be used to address phobias and fears by gradually desensitizing the emotional response associated with them. By tapping on specific points while focusing on the fear or phobia, the emotional charge can be reduced, leading to a decrease in the fear response.

Self-empowerment

TFT and EFT techniques can empower individuals to take an active role in their emotional well-being. These techniques can be learned and practiced independently, providing individuals with a tool to manage and address their own emotional issues.

*It's important to note that while TFT and EFT tapping techniques have been reported to be beneficial for many individuals, they may not be suitable for everyone.

It is recommended to consult with a qualified practitioner.

To perform EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) tapping, follow these steps,

Identify the issue or emotion you want to address. It could be stress, anxiety, a limiting belief, or a specific problem.

Rate the intensity of the issue on a scale of 0 to 10, where 0 is no intensity and 10 is the highest intensity.

Create a setup statement

"Even though I have [describe the issue], I deeply and completely accept myself."

Tap on the karate chop point (the fleshy part on the side of your hand) while repeating the setup statement three times.

Use your fingertips to tap on specific acupressure points on your body, while focusing on the issue and any associated emotions.

After completing a round of tapping on all the points, take a deep breath and reassess the intensity of the issue on a scale of 0 to 10.

If the intensity has decreased, continue tapping for a few more rounds until it reaches 0 or a comfortable level. If the intensity hasn't changed, try adjusting the setup statement or focusing on different aspects of the issue.

Remember, EFT tapping is a self-help technique, but it can be more effective when guided by an experienced practitioner.
